CAMP Vicente Lim, Calamba City, Laguna – Umabot sa 12, 584 na tauhan ng Philippine National Police (PNP) ang itinalaga sa iba’t ibang polling precincts sa Calabarzon region kasunod sa isinagawang send-off ceremony, Lunes ng umaga na pinangunahan nina Comelec 4A Regional Election Director Atty Gloria G. Ramos-Petalio, Commander Southern Luzon Command Lt Gen Gilbert Gapay, at PRO4A Regional Director Police Brig. Gen. Edward Carranza.

Ang kabuuan na personnel ay mula sa  Regional Headquarters at limang Police Provincial Offices kasama na ang 511 personnel mula sa  Armed Forces of the Philippines para sa election duties ng  2019 midterm elections.

“This send-off ceremony for our troops who will be deployed for election duties is a proof of our earnest aspiration for a secure, credible, and fair midterm elections through working together at a level of excellence to ensure that we will meet our desired outcome,” sabi ni Lt Gen Gilbert Gapay.

Pinapurihan naman ni Comelec 4A Election Director Atty Petalio ang PNP at AFP dahil sa walang-sawang suporta at tulong sa lahat hinggil sa preparasyon sa midterm elections.

Samantala, pinaalalahanan ni P/Gen. Carranza ang bawat public servant na maging non- partisan ang mga ito.

“For those who have their own political affiliations and/or relatives running for certain seat in the government, you must refrain from showing your support and patronage,” ayon pa kay Carranza.

Samantala, binabantayan na rin ng  pamunuan ng pulisya ang ilang siyudad at ilang bayan na napaulat na hotspot gayundin ang bayan na may malawakang vote buying.
